What is the content of the AIDA Pro Safety Freediver course?
The AIDA Competition Safety Freediver program was developed jointly with Vertical Blue to standardize safety protocols across AIDA competitions and promote a higher safety standard worldwide. The program includes different specializations for pool and depth competition environments.
Depending on the course track, students can prepare for pool safety, depth safety, or advanced depth safety duties. The AIDA depth competition safety certification is for AIDA depth events limited to a maximum announcement depth of 80m, while the advanced depth specialization covers unlimited-depth AIDA competitions.
Who can join the AIDA Pro Safety Freediver course?
This course is intended for experienced freedivers who already understand competition environments and want to work as part of a safety team. It is especially relevant for instructors, athletes, judges, and organizers who want to deepen their rescue and event-management skills.
