The AIDA Freediving Instructor Course in Sharm el Sheikh is designed for experienced freedivers who want to become qualified AIDA instructors and teach freediving safely, clearly, and confidently. With the Red Sea as your training ground and expert guidance throughout the course, you will develop the skills needed to lead your own freediving courses and work to AIDA standards.
This course is highly selective and standards-based. Candidates are expected to already have strong freediving skills and the right mindset before entering.
What Is the AIDA Instructor Course?
The AIDA Instructor Course prepares candidates to function as professional freediving instructors. It introduces the AIDA educational system in depth and develops the knowledge, in-water ability, teaching methods, and organizational skills required to teach freediving competently and safely.
This is an intensive course both physically and mentally. The goal is not only to improve your own freediving, but to train you to teach others how to freedive safely and effectively.
AIDA also offers a crossover option for instructors from other agencies, where candidates are assessed and brought into the AIDA teaching system.
AIDA INSTRUCTOR COURSE IN SHARM EL SHEIKH
Prerequisites to the AIDA Freediving Instructor Course:
Be 18 years of age or older ✅
Have completed a course in First Aid with CPR within the last two years ✅
Have completed the AIDA 4 course or have completed the AIDA 4 Crossover Evaluation if crossing over from another freediving agency✅
Have completed all paperworks and paid registration fee✅
Be trained and ready for the course✅

Technical requirements to complete AIDA Freediving Instructor Course:
1 dive CWTB to 40m-50m ⭐
1 dive FIM to minimum 40m-50m⭐
1 dive to 30m CWTB lasting for a minimum of 1.30 minutes⭐
1 dive to 30m FIM lasting for a minimum of 2.00 minutes⭐
After a 1 minute hang at 15m, rescue a freediver with BO from this depth⭐
Stamina test: max 1 min preparation and then 5 consecutive dives to 20m, each with a 1 min surface interval⭐
Rescue from 25m followed by recovery at surface and 50m tow ⭐
Static breath hold: minimum 4 minutes⭐
Demonstration of other disciplines: DNF, CNF and VWT⭐
AIDA 2, 3 and 4 theoretical exams, final Instructor Course exam, practical exams on teaching and setting up equipment, oral presentation...⭐
Pool and dynamic freediving requirements⭐
Candidates should be prepared to complete all the requirements at the start of their Instructor Course (IC). If you need adaptation or training, please consider booking additional sessions.
Within 6 to 10 full days candidates are trained to teach AIDA Freediving Courses. Classroom sessions cover variety of topics such as planning, marketing and running courses, teaching skills and theory, legal requirements and risk management.
Water sessions are used to complete performance requirements and skill demonstrations, not training (understand you must be technically ready to enroll for this course).

We are aware you may be coming for holidays and wish to fully enjoy your time... maybe with your family and friends eventually. Deep Zen Meditation and Freediving with at its head Kosho Loïc Vuillemin wishes to offer more than just freediving. Maybe you'll be here with children and need a babysitter for when you're in the water, maybe you're tempted to climb mount Sinaï or visit Dahab for a day... we can take care of that for you and manage to offer you the best rates. We know you may eventually not be able to dedicate fully to your depth training and so we show compassion and will do our best to harmonize to your plans. Your family and friends are always welcome to join you and snorkel around while you learn. Understand we are willing to help you organise a pleasant stay in Sinai.
If your idea is more a complete and 100% immersion freediving journey, we offer also yoga, meditation and breathwork sessions for your days off. Reiki energetic alignments are also on the menu, such as equalisation clinic, underwater and video shootings, freediving specialties and equipment testing.
